  • Do you offer framing?

Some of our prints are available for purchase already framed. These are custom made frames, made of solid wood from sustainable sources (not veneers, MDF or any other type of reconstituted materials). Our frames are hand-made and hand-finished by our trusted partner, who is FSC certified, using 100% acid free materials to guarantee the quality & archival properties of your frame and art print.

All fine art prints in my online shop are sold unframed, as print only, in case you would prefer to take care of the framing yourself, and choose what best suits your style and needs.

If the artwork is offered framed or mounted, it will be specified in each product's page (The option will display under the product's title, in the drop down menu where you select the size of your print).

If you would love a mounted or framed print, and it is not available framed in my shop, please contact me using the form above specifying your desired print and I will let you know if I can get this done for you, at an additional cost.

  • What is a Picture Mount or Window Mount

Also known as Passepartout, a picture mount is the thick beveled border often seen around a picture or artwork when it is framed. Essentially, it is used to keep the glass off of the art and to create breathing space around it while it helps to preserve the artwork. Room for air circulation will reduce the possibility of moisture sticking to the picture.

    Types of picture mounts:

Window mounts: which have an aperture to fit the artwork behind only revealing the main image through a window with a 45º bevel edge, hiding the perimeter of the picture.

Floating mounts: which do not require a window aperture, as the picture is displayed on top of the mat, with the entire artwork exposed, including edges.

  • What is a Giclée print?

Giclée refers to a fine art, high-quality digital print created using specialized inkjet printers that spray pigment-based inks onto archival-quality paper or canvas. The term comes from a French word meaning "to spray" and it is also the technical term for a print that meets specific standards for resolution, archival paper, and lightfast inks. Unlike standard inkjet prints, giclée prints use a wider range of inks and much higher resolutions to achieve exceptional color accuracy and longevity, lasting over 100 years without fading.
